ROV-based underwater inspections
Safe · documented · repeatable
What looks stable above water can already be compromised below the surface. This is where our ROV-based underwater inspections help: we deliver reliable imagery and sensor data so operators, planners and maintenance teams can make sound decisions based on traceable documentation.
Introduction
Many issues develop where you cannot see them: below the waterline, in confined geometries or under poor visibility. With ROV inspections, we create transparency in existing assets – efficiently, safely and repeatably.
Why ROV instead of divers?
Diverless methods reduce risk, are easier to plan and allow standardized data capture. Even in low visibility or complex structures, appropriate lighting, camera systems and optional sonar deliver usable results – without the typical limitations of classic dive inspections.
What deliverables do you receive?
- High-resolution video and still frames for visual condition assessment
- Sonar recordings (optional) for limited-visibility areas or additional geometry/structure context
- Structured documentation, e.g., with location/time references, marked observations, annotated screenshots and a clear summary
Deliverables are prepared so they can be used directly for internal reviews, communication with authorities and subsequent planning.
Typical application areas
- Ports, quay walls and sheet pile structures
- Bridge and riverbank structures
- Dams and hydraulic engineering assets
- Industrial basins and submerged installations
- Pipes, outlets, intakes and underwater components
The goal is always the same: capture condition, detect deviations early and derive actions.
Process
- Quick alignment: objective, scope and boundary conditions (visibility, depth, current, access)
- Mission planning: method, sensor setup, safety and logistics
- Execution: ROV inspection with documented data acquisition
- Handover: clearly structured data package and traceable report
- Optional: support with interpretation and next steps (prioritization, action planning)
